Get a launch code using the mobile app on your smartphone:

From any screen within the Santel Smart Stream Mobile App, click the   in the top left corner to open the menu.

Go to Settings. Under Account, select Manage Devices.

You’ll receive a new Login and Passphrase that can be used on the new device you wish to add.

Get a launch code using your Amazon Fire Stick:

While on the guide screen, click the   button on the remote to view the tab bar.

Go to Settings and then Account. Click on “add Device”.

You’ll receive a new Login and Passphrase that can be used on the new device you wish to add.

Get a launch code using your Roku:

While on the guide screen, click the button on the remote to view the tab bar.

Go to Settings and then Manage Account. Click on “add Device”.

You’ll receive a new Login and Passphrase that can be used on the new device you wish to add.

Get a launch code using your Apple TV:

While on the guide screen, click the  button on the remote to view the tab bar.

Go to Settings and then Devices. Click on “+” sign.

In the top menu, choose ‘Settings’, then choose ‘Favorites’. Scroll through and select each desired channel at a maximum of 30 selections. Once completed, set “Show only favorite channels in guide” to YES. This applies to Apple TV devices only.  *NOTE* Favorites typically apply on an individual device-by-device basis. Favorites may have to be set separately on each device.

While watching one program, simply swipe down on the touchpad and a dropdown will show you the most recently watched channels for you to click and watch instantly.

Using the Apple TV remote while on the guide, two quick clicks of the big circle button produces a channel number screen.

This can be resolved by disabling the device’s screen saver mode. To do this, exit the Santel Smart Stream application back to the device’s main dashboard, open the Settings application from the Apple TV dashboard, then choose ‘General’, then ‘Screen Saver’. In the Screen Saver options, change the ‘Start After’ option to “Never”. This will keep future paused programs from being interrupted.

Yes, this is called Picture-in-Picture or PiP. In the mobile app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner to produce a menu on the left side of the screen. Choose ‘Settings’ in the menu options. In Settings, under the ‘Account’ category, locate the “Allow PiP” option and move the slider to the on or enabled position. From there, you can watch content through the application while using your mobile device for other means at the same time.

Using the Fire TV Stick remote while on the guide, press and hold the select button (the big circle button) to produce a number pad.

Creating and managing Favorites is not currently a feature supported by the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Please check back for updates regarding Favorites compatibility.

Searching for “Santel” or “Smart Stream” does produce the correct result on most recent versions of Amazon Fire TV Stick. However, you may have to scroll down in the search results to locate the application under the “Apps & Games” category. If you’re still unable to locate the application with the app store, your particular device or your device’s software version may be incompatible.
